3D Character Model In Adobe Fuse
We had an assignment which was to create and design a 3D character. The program we used was Adobe Fuse and this is my results.
This is the base face of my 3D character that i made in Adobe Fuse. Firstly i selected one of the base models given to me by Fuse but I then morphed the face and body to the shape i wanted it to be by moving the facial or body structure. It may look plain right now but this is my character before i added textures to him. I will display my textured face below this picture so you can clearly see the difference in the two.
This is my textured face of my 3D character. i changed the colour of the iris in his eye and also aged his skin, added hair and also facial hair and made them black. As you can see he looks way different to what he did before he was textured. I find this to be quite interesting as you can make multiple characters from one base character.

Game Review: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Storyline: The Story of The Witcher 3 is set around the world and life of Gerald of Rivia. He is a Witcher, he possesses magical abilities and extreme combat skills. He takes contracts on monsters and creatures who are terrorizing villagers. He works only for gold and villagers usually despise his kind. It is set in olden times where people only traveled on horseback. The story is very immersive and I personally felt like I was in the game myself.
Performance: The game works at a solid 60 fps. The movements and actions are very smooth and everything moves quite nicely. the world never struggles to load areas and as it is such a huge map it is very good. Nearly all areas on the map are open to the player and this provides lots of room for exploration.
Graphics: The graphics are very realistic and smooth. The Witcher's hair moves with the direction of the wind and the trees are plants also sway with this. The clothes , and mass landscape are extremely detailed throughout all areas, and out of the 100 or so hours i put into the game I did not find even one area which did not make me in awe and stop for a moment just to appreciate how much work actually went into this game.
Replay Value: Firstly there is so much quests and side quests and collectables to find I find it would be a very very long time before you would have nothing to do on the game. The story has reply value as it is just so good and you can also make different decisions which have a minor effect on the outcome of the game. If you somehow actually managed to get through the mass of gameplay. DLC has been brought out recently with new maps, quests and a whole other storyline. I think there is just so much content in the game it doesnt really need replay value as there is just so much content in it already.

Production: in Adobe Photoshop I used the custom shape tool to create the flames. I then selected the shape options and chose nature from the different list of shapes to use. Once I had done this I selected the flame/ fire shape. I resized it by using transform and then scale and scaling it to the size I wanted it to be. I added in a few more flames into the flame to give the effect of a ball of fire. For the text I simply used the text box and typed in the text "Hell Flames Games". I adjusted the position of the text so that the middle word would be a little more protruded than the others. I used the rectangle shape tool to add a rectangle in the background and added some colour to it. To add colour to my flames I gave the flames a gradient and chose from the list of colours I was given.
Blender Bird
After we had some practise with working with the curves. We decided to make something a little more complicated. We received a email from our tutor with a image of a bird of some sort. We then imported this image into blender and used it as a template to draw the shape with curves. After we connected the curves the shape was filled in. We had to go into edit mode and add in more bezier
curves to cut out the wing shapes for the bird. We also cut out an eye and holes in the bird. We filled the holes in with screws and also coloured the bird to give it a metallic look.

First Class
We had our first class today. We learned about the different things that go into the process of games design. We were divided into the groups, and given three different roles , chairperson, scribe and reader. We gave our different ideas up and they were all put on a whiteboard. We then debated which things we should keep and which we should get rid of. Later we divided them up into three categories, Pre Production, Production and Post Production. it was a fun and useful exercise and once we were done we searched what was involved in games design process on the web and found out we were not too far off and had a lot of similar topics. I am putting an image to a website here on a article on this wrote up by Padraig which I think will be very useful.
